ōpenhōme are a collective of designers and architects who left the corporate world to create authentic, bespoke homes that play to the beauty of Chester and to the way we want to live today. After buying and refurbishing the building, they have created the ōH concept store.
Showcasing across 2 floors, the shop dedicates itself to fostering a community of design lovers, coffee drinkers and conscious shoppers. Collaborating with sustainable and local brands from the likes of The Wrong Shop, Normann Copenhagen, Menu Space and Bepo UK, the project has introduced Chester to a new shopping experience situated on Lower Bridge Street.
As we take great pride in the Scandinavian, minimalist design of our shops and our efforts towards sustainability and being an eco-conscious company, it was a must for us to collaborate with ōpenhōme for the pop-up store and host their coffee bar, serving our in-house roasted coffee. We are brewing our espresso using the La Marzocco Linea Mini.
On the weekends, the refined menu features our vegetarian and vegan pastries from our Bakery on Bridge Street. Take your coffee and pastries over to the ōH concept coffee lounge at the back of the first floor – a space to relax with your coffee, have work meetings or catch up with friends before or after browsing the retail space.
You can also book out the space to host workshops or other events.
ōpenhōme’s aim for the store at 11 Lower Bridge Street is to blend the retail experience with architecture and interior design over coffee. They have been shortlisted in the Positive Impact and Bar & Leisure categories at the prestigious Mixology Awards – being recognised for the efforts towards pushing sustainable living and for their unique take on a customer experience.
